Headteacher’s Blog 19th October 2017

Mr Oliver Mr Olivers Blog

Hello and welcome to this week’s blog.

Class 1 have once again spent much of the week learning outdoors.

They also celebrated Divali by taking part in a range of activities.

Class 2 are continuing their work on castles and have found out what the different parts of the castle were for before using their ICT skills to draw their castles on an iPad.  Mrs Parry has put their work on SeeSaw for you to see.

Class 3 have entered a poetry competition based around Minecraft called Rhymecraft (do you see what they’ve done there?!).  Mrs Blackburn is delighted with the standard of the poems, as are the children if these smiles are anything to go by!

Class 4 have been working on developing metaphors to include in their stories – Olivia Baker came up with this pearl, ‘the rainforest was a green guardian of the land below.’  She’ll go far that girl!

Our after school clubs continue to be popular and well attended.  In art and craft club the children made clay hedgehogs whilst in crochet club Mrs Blackburn and Miss Jackson taught the basics of making chains.
