Class 1 is a combined Nursery, Reception and Year 1 class. As part of the Foundation Phase we do a lot of our learning through practical and experiential activities using the indoor and outdoor areas. Children learn through a combination of adult led activities and provision time.
During Choosing Time the children play within the various areas of the learning environment with the support of an adult, who helps build on their existing knowledge and
skills.
Outdoor learning forms an enormous part of the Early Years curriculum in our school and we are lucky to have plenty of space, which includes a grassed and paved area, our own garden in which we grow fruit and vegetables, a woodland area and a secure pond.
